Ljubljana has gained a good reputation as an efficient venue for international conferences with up to 2,000 delegates over the last two and a half decades.  It is namely large enough to provide all the services that a major congress / meeting may require and, as an elegant lounge, small enough to make the delegates feel at home during their stay.

In the recent years, the ICCA (International Congress and Convention Association) meetings statistics rank Ljubljana in the top 50 congress cities worldwide – more precisely around the 40th place.

With 280,000 residents Ljubljana ranks among the smaller European capitals but nevertheless has a wealth of history, tradition, style, arts & culture, and an atmosphere that is both Central European and Mediterranean. Those knowing it better would add safe, green, compact, multilingual and hospitable.

The capital is also the centre of Slovenian life in every sense. Ljubljana is renowned for stunning architecture - featuring a harmonious blend of Baroque, Art Nouveau and newer styles, which is complemented by a medieval hilltop castle and a charming Old Town. It is also a city with a unique atmosphere, and an amazingly diverse package of culture, entertainment and nightlife.

Cosy Ljubljana displays a rich agenda of cultural events, a lively café society and an active youth scene fuelled by more than 50,000 university students who contribute to its dynamic flair, while gourmet or traditional restaurants surprise visitors with their original and delicious cuisine.

Ljubljana also represents an ideal departure point to reach many of Slovenia’s attractions in about two hours’ drive, including the unique Karst region, the Adriatic coast, the Alps & lakes region, the hilly wine-growing areas, the 15 natural spas and several historic towns. Several among these localities are ideal settings for outdoor activities and teambuilding events.
